Terms & Conditions – “Big 5 Braai Day” Competition

These Terms & Conditions (“T&C”) govern your participation in the “Big 5 Braai Day” competition (the “Competition”) organized by Northern Food Ingredients Ltd., a South African company incorporated under the Companies Act 71 of 2008 (“NFI”, “we”, “our”). By entering the Competition you agree to be bound by these T&C.

1. Competition Period

The Competition will commence on the date of its announcement and will close on 17 September 2026 (the “Closing Date”).

2. How to Enter

1. Purchase any one of the following NFI products during the Competition period:
   
   • Big 5 Mozambique Peri-Peri Seasoning
   • Big 5 Smokey BBQ Rub
   • Big 5 Braai Basting Sauce
2. Capture a clear photograph that shows both the product and the accompanying purchase slip.
3. Submit the photo and the slip by one of the following methods:
   
   • Posting on NFI’s official Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/NorthernFoodIngredients), or
   • Sending a WhatsApp image to 064 540 5467.

Only one entry per purchase slip is permitted. Duplicate entries will be disqualified.

3. Eligibility

4. The Competition is open only to residents of the Republic of South Africa who are at least 18 years of age.
5. Employees, directors, officers, contractors, or their immediate family members (spouse, children, parents) associated with NFI are excluded from entry.
6. By entering you confirm that you meet all eligibility criteria.

4. Entry Requirements

7. Each submission must contain an unaltered image of the product and its purchase slip; any attempt to modify or fabricate the proof will lead to immediate disqualification.
8. Entries must be received no later than the Closing Date.
9. The Competition is a purchase-based entry; no additional purchases, fees or registrations are required.

5. Judging & Winner Selection

10. All eligible entries will be placed in a sealed draw box (digital or physical).
11. One winner will be selected at random; the drawing shall take place on 18 September 2026 (“Announcement Date”).
12. The decision of the drawn entry is final and binding. No further review, challenge or appeal will be entertained.

6. Winner Announcement & Notification

13. The winning entry will be announced publicly on NFI’s Facebook page on the Announcement Date.
14. Within two (2) business days following the announcement, NFI will contact the winner by telephone to confirm identity and prize details.
15. If a winner fails to respond within three (3) business days of notification or is otherwise uncontactable, NFI reserves the right to conduct a replacement draw.

7. Prize Claim & Acceptance

16. The winner must provide satisfactory proof of identity (e.g. ID card) and sign an acceptance form if required.
17. Once accepted, the prize shall be delivered in accordance with NFI’s standard shipping procedures or as otherwise agreed upon.
18. The prize is non-transferable, cannot be exchanged for cash, nor sold or traded.

8. Privacy & Data Usage

19. By participating you consent to NFI collecting and processing your personal data solely for the purposes of administering the Competition and conducting any related marketing activities in accordance with South African privacy legislation.
20. Your photo, name and contact details may be used by NFI for promotional material (including social media, print and digital advertisements) without additional compensation or notice.

9. Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising out of or relating to the Competition shall be governed exclusively by the laws of South Africa. All such disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration conducted in Johannesburg, South Africa.

10. General Conditions

21. NFI reserves the right at any time, without notice, to modify, extend, suspend, cancel or terminate the Competition if circumstances arise that threaten its integrity or safety.
22. The Competition is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Facebook; nor does Facebook provide any assistance in the conduct of this Competition.
23. Entrants are solely responsible for any taxes, duties or fees that may arise from the acceptance or use of their prize.
24. Participants accept full responsibility for any damages or injuries incurred as a result of using the product or participating in the Competition.

11. Confirmation

By entering the Competition you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to all terms contained herein.
